Current issues you might want to discuss with your representatives are:

Opposing sifting funding of the Maryland Retirement/Pension system from the state to the local jurisdictions.

The Cost of Living adjustments for retirees is an earned benefit that should not be reduced. Oppose any change or reduction to the COLA formula for current retirees.

Revenue Sources: Make a suggestion such as: increase the state sales tax by 1%, re-enacting the millionaires tax, put a stop to combined reporting for large corporations, or increasing the piggyback tax.

ALERT

Washington's finger is pointing towards retirees again. This time, as of January 1st. Medicare payments to doctors will be cut 30%, which means that we will have to pay more for treatments.

We need to call our congressman Andy Harris at (888) 434-6200 and tell him to start working on a fiscally responsible plan to save Medicare.
